The NBAM-Irving Oil Aviation Scholarships enable students to pursue a post-secondary education
leading to excellence within the aviation or aerospace sector. This year, NBAM will award
$2,500.00 scholarships to four students to offset post-secondary education expenses and
encourage further education in the aviation or aerospace sector.
FIELD OF STUDY
Successful candidates must be pursuing a recognized post-secondary college or undergraduate
program of study relevant to the aviation or aerospace sector.
CONDITIONS
All applicants must be enrolled in an approved program or institution in Atlantic Canada. For high
school students, proof of acceptance into an approved educational program is required.
DEADLINE
Applications must be received by the NBAM-Irving Oil Aviation Scholarship Selection Committee
no later than May 22, 2026 at 4:00pm.
To Apply:
Enclose a brief (300-500 word) essay, entitled “Why I want to pursue a career in the aviation
and/or aerospace sector,” indicating your academic and career interests, including your plans for
achieving them, and why you have chosen to pursue aviation/aerospace as a career.
With this application form, please provide:
- Most recent transcript of grades
- *Portfolio, including a resume
- Two letters of reference
Final selection of the candidates may include a personal interview.

A collection that includes, but is not limited to, copies of schoolwork, report cards, letter of
reference, and participation and/or completion certificates. The collection is presented as a
means to enhance the committee’s understanding of your strengths, skills, and achievements.
**NOTE – Winners of the NBAM-Irving Oil Scholarship Award will be announced in June 2026.
