Class of 1975 Donates to MVHS Pulamoo Bus Fund

Miramichi Valley High School’s Student Government recently received a generous $750 donation from the Class of 1975. The graduating class, who celebrated their 50th reunion this past summer, chose to mark the milestone by giving back to their alma mater.

The donation will support the purchase of the new MVHS Pulamoo Bus, which will serve current and future students for years to come.

MVHS extends sincere thanks to the Class of 1975, and to all alumni who continue to support the school and help strengthen the Pulamoo community.

Back-to-School Reminders for MVHS Students and Parent

Hello everyone, here are a few important reminders as we begin the new school year:

Tuesday, September 2

  • Only Grade 9 students and students attending MVHS for the first time will attend school for our Boomerang Orientation activities.
  • A barbecue lunch will be provided for these students.

Wednesday, September 3

  • All students will return for the first full day of classes.

Bussing Information

  • Parents are asked to please check Bus Planner, as there have been some changes to bussing from last year.

Important Notice: Bus 284 (Bellefond Road, Tilly Road, Route 430)
The ASD-N Transportation Department has asked us to share the following information:

  • Beginning Tuesday, September 2, Bus 284 (Eric McLaughlin’s bus) will pick up students on Tilly Road and Bellefond Road approximately 15 minutes earlier than last year.
  • MVHS students who normally board at 53 and 35 Bellefond Road must instead walk to the corner and take Bus 203 (Cindy McGraw’s bus) at around 7:50 a.m.
  • Students living on Route 430 should see minimal impact.

Afternoon Drop-Offs:

  • Students on Tilly Road and Bellefond Road may arrive home 15–30 minutes later than usual.
  • Students at 53 and 35 Bellefond Road will return home on Bus 203.
  • Students on Route 430 should see minimal impact.

This change is due to the road closure on Bellefond Road. Unfortunately, there is no timeline from DTI on when the road will reopen.
The ASD-N Transportation Department thanks families for their patience and understanding during this time.

Finally, we wish everyone a wonderful Labour Day weekend, and we look forward to welcoming all students back for another great school year at MVHS!
