Applications must be received by the Trustees no later than June 1st of each year. All students or one of his/her parents who are members of Beaubear Credit Union for 12 months preceding the application are eligible for the bursary. Applicants should be careful to answer all questions. The page on family information is strictly confidential. It should be completed by the parent or guardian, and mailed separately to the above address. This page will be destroyed once the Trustees have made their decision on the recipient of the Scholarship.

Section II: College/University Information
· Provide the name and address of the College, Trade School, Technical School, Community College or University you will be attending.
· Bursaries are awarded to students attending facilities on a full time basis.
· Post graduate studies do not qualify.
· $500.00 bursaries are awarded to successful applicants.
Section III: Financial Information

· Bursaries are awarded based on financial need, with special consideration given to children and grandchildren of Veterans.

If you accept the offer of the Bursary the cheque will be made payable to, and mailed directly to, the University, College, etc. that you have chosen to attend. You will also be required to provide a copy of the “notice of acceptance” at the University, College, etc. that you will be attending

Purpose
To Provide a $1,000 scholarship to three deserving high school graduates intending to pursue a post-secondary education in a science or environmental program. Three scholarships will be awarded, one in each Maritime province.
Criteria
• Applicant must be a resident of the Maritimes.
• Applicant must be a graduating high school senior and be accepted to attend a post-secondary institution in the year of award.
• Applicant must be furthering their education in a science or environmental field of study.
Please include with your application:
• Completed Application Form (download form)
• Proof of Acceptance to a Post-Secondary Institution
• Letter of recommendation from a teacher or community member
• A 250-500 word essay explaining why you have chosen to pursue an education in the science/environmental field.

The NB Proud Awards are a financial award provided to students graduating from a New Brunswick high school AND attending a New Brunswick post-secondary institution. This year, five $2,000 awards will be presented across the five economic regions of New Brunswick (Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest, and Central).
Who can apply—Any grade 12 New Brunswick high school student planning to pursue their post-secondary education in New Brunswick.
How to apply—Students are given a task that tests their creativity and demonstrates their commitment to building a stronger and more vibrant province.
Deadline: May 18th, 2026, before midnight.
